MN Rope is presenting two classes from Max of Seattle's www.bondagelessons.com

September 13 and 14th from 1-4pm we will host High Security Rope Bondage and Bondage from the Bottom's Perspective.

Saturday's class: High Security Rope Bondage

Ever had someone "escape" from your bondage? Have you ever managed to get away - or not get away - from someone else's bondage? Whatever your orientation, bondage is all about escape, and this workshop focuses on playing with that "escape energy".

If you're a rope top, you'll learn a wealth of techniques to make your bondage more secure.

If you're an aspiring escapee, you'll get a chance to add to your "tools and tricks" repertoire.

And if you just want a good show, come watch us pit those two skills against each other.

We'll spend most of our time using people from the audience to demonstrate ways to make rope bondage more escape-proof. Bottoms will have an opportunity to wriggle their way out while we analyze their technique. We may have opportunities for tops to test their mettle too. And there's a handout you can use as a reminder when you're practicing at home.

Since the class will be structured as a demo, you don't need a practice partner, rope, or any prerequisite skills. There will be plenty of opportunities to participate if you're interested. Or you can just watch - there should be plenty of entertainment.

Rope Bottoms - this is a great chance to get tied up and to showcase your slightly bratty escape skills.

This workshop is appropriate for all skill levels and all genders / orientations. The emphasis is on learning and having fun.

Sunday's class: Bondage from the Bottom's Perspective

Here's something a little different - a bondage workshop that starts with headspace and works backwards to technique instead of the other way around.

We'll start off with a demo showing several different types of bondage scenes. We'll pull volunteers out of the audience for this portion of the workshop.

As we exit the scenes, we'll ask the bottoms to talk about their experience and how the specific elements of the bondage impacted them physically, mentally and emotionally.

After a short break Max will present a model for categorizing bondage bottoms and will facilitate a panel discussion on the bottom's experience in bondage scenes. We'll be sure to leave plenty of time at the end for questions and discussion.

If you're looking for a "beyond technique" bondage workshop, this is for you. Hearing what's going on in someone's head when they're bound will make you a more capable bottom and a more creative top.

Plus - you might get tied up.

This workshop is appropriate for all skill levels and all genders / orientations. The emphasis is on learning and having fun.

Presenter's Bio

Max has been active in Seattle's BDSM community since 1992 and has been teaching bondage, BDSM and poly workshops since 1999.

While he enjoys and is proficient with a wide range of BDSM arts, Max especially likes bondage - for its own sake, and coupled ith other SM activities.

Max shares his love of bondage through his workshops. While his personal scenes tend towards suspension and relatively rigorous bondage, he loves teaching entry-level bondage workshops and watching people learn to tie each other up.

Max has taught at leather conventions around the country, to include Living in Leather (LIL), Thunder in the Mountains, the Folsom Fringe, KinkFest, BodyBound and Shibaricon. He's participated in events sponsored by Seattle's the Stranger newspaper, Babeland, and Seattle Men in Leather (SML), presented at both of Seattle's ArtBound events, and has rigged for a number of photo shoots. He also offers private instruction to individuals, couples and small groups.

Max serves as producer / chief instructor for Seattle's monthly "Bondage Workshop Series", which has run continuously since 2003.

Max has been actively polyamorous since 1998 and has two wonderful partners. You can keep up with Max via his web site - www.BondageLessons.com
